Taker is a Layer1 blockchain that aims to integrate the fragmented liquidity of Bitcoin, which has so far only functioned as a store of value, into the Taker chain to build a unified liquidity hub.

Taker addresses this problem by onboarding wrapped Bitcoin assets from various chains onto the Taker chain, thereby creating a unified liquidity layer. This concentrated liquidity then serves as a foundation for providing liquidity across a wide range of areas, including DeFi products, Layer2 networks, restaking, and gaming.

To support this, Taker introduces a consensus mechanism called NPOL (Nominated Proof of Liquidity), which aligns incentives among liquidity providers, validators, and the broader ecosystem.

Taker provides sustainable returns to liquidity providers, rewards validators for contributing to both security and liquidity, and offers nominators the opportunity to strengthen network security and share in validator rewards through competitive selection.
