Blockchains are a natural platform for points programs, with built-in accounting, security, and the promise of using smart contracts to enforce rules for redeeming points for tokens.
More importantly, blockchains allow composability of points programs by enabling interoperability among providers. The same open composability that has allowed tokens to flourish will pertain to points, too.
