Sebastian Bürgel is the CTO and Co-Founder of Validity Labs. He received his PhD from ETH Zurich, before turning his curiosity and energy to the world of blockchain, smart contracts and other decentralized technologies. His previous project, SONECT, a mobile cash solution, attracted the interest one of Switzerland’s largest financial institutions, PostFinance. A regular speaker at major blockchain conferences, Sebastian is also one of the world’s leading decentralized application architects. His work includes building applications for a wide range of industries such as insurance, real estate, finance, biomedical and others.
