Prometheus Capital was founded in 2012 as a family fund of Mr. Wang Jianlin and Mr. Wang Sicong, and currently manages over 1 billion USD in assets from institutions and individual investors’ funds.  Our firm is focused on earlystage and growth capital investments in the TMT, Consumer, Healthcare, and Educational sectors in China.  We also invest in foreign companies with strong business dealings in China that benefit from China’s growing consumption population.  With Wanda Group’s and Prometheus’s business coverage of Real Estate, Consumer, Entertainment, and Financial industries worldwide, we are able to add substantial value to companies through the resources made available by our parent companies, including our vast and extensive industry knowledge and expertise, and financial support.

A large number of our investments are sourced exclusively through our Wanda and Prometheus networks.  We help nurture companies to grow and have historically been able to consistently provide aboveaverage returns for our investors. We expect to continue this excellent track record by utilizing our network, experience, and unique vision in prospective deals.

The name “Prometheus” is derived from the Greek word “Προμηθεύς,” which means “forethought,” and appropriately encapsulates the essence and vision of our firm.  Through our extensive research, knowledge base, and industry expertise, we are able to make critical investment decisions promptly, prudently, and decisively.
