Optiver is a proprietary global market maker, trading on major financial markets around the world.

We opened our first office in Amsterdam and now have locations in Chicago, Shanghai, and Sydney. Optiver employs over 900 highly educated professionals worldwide who are continuously improving the way we work and striving for excellence in everything we do. Being good is not good enough, and it’s everyone’s responsibility to make our company better. Founded in 1986, Optiver has been profitable every year of its existence.

Today, our Chicago office employs about 200 people. Growth and expansion have been robust, with new people and new market opportunities. Presence in the US, coupled with our other offices around the world, allows Optiver to trade in every major time zone in the world--24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Optiver US is a participant and market-maker on major US derivatives exchanges covering stocks, futures and options. Our trading strategies are developed entirely in-house. Though our trading is primarily screen-based, we maintain links to traditional floors via brokers in the wholesale trading market.
