Joanna Zeng is the Co-founder & CEO of SOON, the most efficient SVM rollup stack delivering top performance to every L1. She has been in Crypto since 2017 and led BD & Partnerships at Coinbase, Optimism, and Aleo.
Joanna was the Head of BD at Aleo and helped built the ecosystem from scratch, and prior to Aleo, she worked at Optimism as their BD Lead. And before that she worked at Coinbase, where she helped launch 2 products (Coinbase Institutional Prime Broker, Coinbase NFT Marketplace). She caught the “crypto bug” back in 2017 as a Currency Trading “career hedge”. She attended a coding camp to learn Solidity (Ethereum programming language) and dove deep into the technical world of Blockchain. In 2019 officially transitioned to Crypto Full-Time and never looked back - while on the side co-founding a crypto developer community in NYC called CryptoNYC (yes we got that OG name lol).
Joanna is a frequent speaker at Breakpoint, zkSummit, ETHDenver, DevConnect, Science of Blockchain Week, Consensus, Korea Blockchain Week, Token2049 and other crypto conferences.
In addition, she is passionate about Entrepreneurship & Angel Investing: Co-Founded an ed-tech start-up while in business school. Her portcos include RightClickSave (RCS) Ventures, a Web3 Ventures Studio building products to analyze, allocate and manage digital assets.
