Derek Rein is CTO at WalletConnect. He has a long and successful career in the tech industry. In 2006, he began as an Independent IT Consultant at ADR Software Development. In 2010, he Co-Founded Ceseros. In 2012, he was a Research Assistant at the University of Helsinki and also founded Track My Life, an app that tracks its users' location. In 2013, he Co-Founded Mils and was the CTO. From 2015-2020, he worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer and then as a Sr. Principal Engineer / Director at Venmo.

Derek R. attended the Technical University of Munich, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and a Master's Degree in Computer Science.
