DMND is the world's first Stratum V2 bitcoin mining pool.
Today, the 3 largest bitcoin mining pools make up nearly 70% of total hashrate. And behind the scenes, several pools are proposing identical block templates. This is an area of concern for Bitcoin's decentralization. Stratum V2 solves this problem by empowering miners to propose their own block templates while maintaining the benefits of participating in a pool.
Stratum V2 also keeps DMND users safe from hashrate hijacking, a major issue that miners face today. Miners today who have ever shrinking margins can be vulnerable to hashrate hijacking attacks, whereby their work is effectively stolen and claimed by another party. Stratum V2 features end-to-end encryption between miners and their pools, removing this attack vector.
Alongside being the first pool to implement Stratum V2, DMND solves another key pain point for miners: the murky reality of mining pool fee payouts. DMND offers completely transparent fee payouts and a new payout system, ensuring miners get their fair share of fees. This is critical as the fee component of the block reward is expected to drive more of miners' revenue over time.
