Commonwealth Crypto is a venture-backed cybersecurity company founded by Sharon Goldberg (CEO), a tenured computer science professor at Boston University, and Ethan Heilman (CTO), a PhD candidate at Boston University and author of multiple privacy protocols and cryptographic attacks. The company started out in the blockchain space (as Arwen), building secure systems to support transfers of large sums of Bitcoin, and is now spinning out some of its cybersecurity innovations to a new product in the cloud infrastructure space. This spinout is at an early stage, but is well funded with a substantial runway.
