As Head of Venture at MHC Digital, and Portfolio Manager for the Web3 Equity Fund I, Bede Schubert is an active participant in the start-up ecosystem – sourcing, diligencing, investing and supporting the brightest in the industry.
Prior to joining MHC Digital, Bede spent 8 years within the Investment Banking division of Macquarie Capital at their global headquarters in Australia, most recently as a Director within the Infrastructure practice. Whilst at Macquarie Capital, Bede focused on M&A Advisory in the Energy and Utilities sectors – advising on ~$50bn in announced transactions. Prior to Macquarie, Bede spent 3 years as a Management Consultant with Deloitte.
Bede holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from INSEAD (Summa Cum Lauda) as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Economics and Finance) from Bond University (Most Outstanding Graduate). Bede has been a CFA charterholder since 2016.
Bede brings broad-based financial and operational expertise, including deep experience in financial analysis, due diligence, investment management, portfolio construction, fundraising and M&A strategy.
Bede has also been an active investor in Web3 start-ups for a number of years, through which he has developed strong relationships in the space and access to high quality deal flow.
