Azeem Khan is Co-Founder at Miden. Formerly, Partnerships & Fundraising Lead at Gitcoin, an organization that’s given out over $69 million on grants to open source software developers since it’s inception in 2017. Many of the most successful web3 projects including Uniswap, Optimism, Dune, and Yearn were originally grantees. He entered into web3 back in 2013 and has been been involved in a variety of projects, launched a social token, and had his own venture backed web3 company. His interests in DeSci lie in the fact he’s got a B.A. and M.A in Biology and Medical Sciences, respectively. And he did a master’s thesis in human genome sequencing at Harvard Medical School.

As an accomplished New York-based entrepreneur, Azeem Khan brings a wealth of experience across multiple industries including biotech, tech, entertainment, esports/gaming, and blockchain. Currently, Azeem serves as the Head of Impact at Gitcoin, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that has awarded over $50 million in grants to open-source software developers since its inception. With his expertise, he has successfully led fundraising efforts that have resulted in the distribution of tens of millions of dollars to thousands of innovative projects.

Azeem is also an esteemed member of the World Economic Forum’s Crypto Sustainability Coalition, where he contributes his knowledge towards creating a sustainable future for the blockchain industry. He led UNICEF’s experiment in Quadratic Funding, demonstrating his passion for using blockchain technology for social good. Azeem's involvement with notable projects including Uniswap, Yearn Finance, Gnosis, Protocol Labs, Optimism, and zkSync further exemplify his dedication to driving innovation in the blockchain ecosystem.
