Archive Node is an initiative led by Defi Dude and Chase Wright to bring archive data on the Ethereum blockchain to small time developers who otherwise couldn't afford it.
ArchiveNode is currently funded by a grant from the Ethereum Foundation with continued support from Dan Matthews at PieDAO.
