Alex Soong is Team Lead at P2P Labs. Formerly, Co-founder & CTO of Set Protocol, engineering at Square and Apple.
I'm working on a new company re-imagining customer data verification through the use of emerging cryptographic techniques. I believe this technology will completely change how we interact with the internet.
Over the past two years, I operated a research lab focused on programmable cryptography and zero knowledge proofs, exploring viability of different digital signatures applied towards proving payment transfers.
In years passed, I founded and built Set Labs, the market leader in smart contract-based financial infrastructure focused on asset management and structured products. Set had raised more than $16 million from VCs and partnered with funds around the world to launch indexes amassing $750M in total value locked. I started my career as a product engineer during the first cloud expansion experiencing different industries across roles at Square, Caviar, Apple, and Zynga. B.S. in EECS from UC Berkeley.
